Google has announced a series of important changes this year, culminating in the final switch to the new interface. At the heart of all these changes is Google’s constant focus on giving advertisers the ability to meet as quickly and easily the needs of a well-informed, fast-paced audience.
What are the most important changes? Below I will present 3 things you should know, whether you are an advertiser, an entrepreneur or simply an “internet user”.
#1. Google Adwords becomes Google Ads
Why Google Ads? Because Google Adwords is rebranding. Unexpected, huh? The decision came as Google is no longer just “Keywords & Co”, but it offers a full range of networks through which you can reach your target audience.
It’s good to know that both Analytics 360 and DoubleClick will be integrated into what is called Google Marketing, the platform that gives advertisers the opportunity to manage everything in one place and to provide a better experience for their customers.
#2. Responsive Search Ads (beta)
No more time for dozens of manually created ad variations. Through RSA you have the ability to enter more titles and descriptions that the system then automatically juggles. It tests and learns which of these performs better in time to serve the most appropriate ad according to a search, device, previous behaviour, and other factors.
It is the perfect choice for those with small or start-up businesses, who do not have much time or experience, but also smaller budgets. It’s set in just a few minutes, the targeting and bidding strategy is automatic.Optimization is based on Google’s automated learning algorithm that takes into account many factors such as behavior, location, or device.
Meanwhile… wish you lots of conversions!
